The best part of working for Beck, according to Magan, is that “your potential for growth is unlimited if you work hard, are passionate about your job and care for others.” Those qualities definitely describe Magan, who manages our theater and hospitality team. She started with Beck as a college intern, working in our construction group, where she “did anything from filing to project closeouts to providing construction estimates.” She joined us fulltime after graduating from Oklahoma State University. Over the last 15+ years, she’s worked in both our construction and design groups. This holistic experience helps her better manage projects, making sure our clients’ projects open on time and within budget – important for theaters wanting to open in time to show the latest blockbuster. Recognized for her giving and helpful nature, Magan is quick to credit her mentors for “having moral and ethical courage that showed me how to be a better leader.” She’s served as a mentor in Beck’s Mentorship Program since 2012, travelled on multiple Beck Community Development Foundation trips and assisted with two key Beck charitable events, the Tyler Street Golf Tournament and the Carson Leslie Archery Tournament. She is also a graduate of the AIA Dallas Emerging Leaders Class 2014. Outside the office, she’s an active member of her small group Bible study, love to travel and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and Duke, her dog.
