Integrated design-build firm The Beck Group has been awarded first place as Fort Worth’s best large employer by Fort Worth Inc. magazine.

The magazine’s annual award program identifies, recognizes, and honors those companies that benefit Fort Worth’s economy, workforce and businesses. Beck was among 30 finalists to be a part of this year’s list, categorized into large and small/medium companies.

“We are truly grateful to be given this prestigious award that acknowledges our contributions to this vibrant and fast-growing community. We are also extremely proud of our employees whose hard work, skill, and dedication to the firm and their profession have resulted in being given this honor,” said Scot Bennett, regional director of Beck’s Fort Worth office. “We look forward to continuing to play a leadership role in helping shape the future of Fort Worth’s growth and to fully embrace a culture that supports and values our employees and the community as a whole.”

Beck’s notable achievements to Fort Worth’s business community and its economy include the design of two of the city’s prominent office building projects, 464 Bailey Ave. and 101 Nursery Lane.

A Class-A boutique office building located in the city’s River District, 464 Bailey Avenue, is a 10,000-square-foot redevelopment project of a building originally designed by well-known Fort Worth architect and engineer Preston Geren. The office building is the area’s largest office project since the 130,000 square-foot Regions Bank Building was built in 2016. 101 Nursery Lane, completed in 2019, offers 21,283 square feet of office and retail space that was chosen as Fort Worth Inc.’s Dream Office.

To be considered for the award, companies had to have a facility in Tarrant, Hood, Parker, Denton, or Johnson counties, have at least 15 employees working in those counties, and be in a business for a minimum of one year. Rankings for award nominees were based on several criteria, including workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, demographics and employee experience. The list of rankings can be found in the magazine’s latest issue.
