Beck’s Austin Architecture Practice Builds Momentum with Promotions

The Beck Group has promoted Architecture Practice Leader Jacqueline Dudley, AIA, and Design Director Andy Kennedy, AIA, to Principal. Their promotions mark the next step in the continued growth of the firm’s Austin architecture practice.

Since stepping into their current leadership roles in early 2025, Dudley and Kennedy have helped guide a practice that spans hospitality, workplace, higher education and community-focused design. Their promotions recognize their contributions and the roles they are playing in strengthening Beck’s presence in Central Texas.

Building an Austin Architecture Practice with Range

Beck’s architecture work in Austin reflects the region’s growth and the range of clients the firm serves. Dudley and Kennedy bring experience across hospitality, workplace, higher education and community-focused design, giving both leaders a broad perspective on the needs of clients and projects across Central Texas.

Their leadership roles build on that shared experience while bringing different strengths to the practice. Dudley leads the business and people side of the architecture practice, focusing on client relationships, team development and growth. Kennedy leads the studio’s design vision, setting the creative direction for the practice and guiding design quality across its work.

Together, they have helped shape a portfolio that includes projects such as Texas Bankers Association, Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, RiverSouth, 600 West 5th Street and the Dell Jewish Community Center.

Several projects associated with the practice have also earned industry recognition. In 2023, RiverSouth, a Beck-designed and built Class AA office development, received the Design-Build Institute of America’s National Award of Excellence, one of the design-build industry’s highest honors.

 Growing Through People and Relationships

The practice’s growth is rooted in strong relationships and a strong design culture.

Dudley has focused on building teams, developing emerging leaders and strengthening Beck’s connections within Austin’s real estate and development community. She currently serves as Board Chair of the Real Estate Council of Austin.

Kennedy works closely with architects and designers, helping teams strengthen ideas from early concept through execution. He also shares his perspective on design, building performance and adaptability with organizations including Bisnow and the Texas Society of Architects, often drawing on lessons from award-winning projects such as RiverSouth.

Building on Austin’s Momentum

Dudley and Kennedy’s promotions build on Beck’s continued investment in its architecture practice. Their leadership strengthens both sides of the practice: building the relationships and teams that create new opportunities while elevating the quality of the work.

As Principals, they will help guide the practice’s continued growth in Central Texas, combining a strong connection to the market with the resources and integrated capabilities of a national firm.
