Putting UAVs to Work in Construction

UAVs or drones have provided construction professionals with a new and powerful tool that enables better visualizations and more effective collaboration. Drones can be used to provide aerial overviews of projects that are in-progress or have been completed, and can be essential monitoring tools to ensure project managers know what is and isn’t happening on a site.

In a recent report from Commercial UAV Expo, Grant Hagen, Virtual Design and Construction Manager, explores this topic and explains how UAVs are being used to not only gather aerial images, but also a way to gather large amounts of data from the project.
