Read Beck’s Fall 2020 Cost Report

The Beck Group released the fall issue of its biannual Cost Report. The report addresses the market sector and AEC industry trends in the design-build firm’s regional markets.

Amid the uncertainty of COVID-19, Beck polled its construction trade partners to determine why now is the best time to purchase construction services.

We inquired about labor and material costs in their industry, current workload and backlog forecast, and gaps in workload and when they occurred. We also asked for input on projects that are closing in on being bid-ready. Are there savings today versus six months ago or a year ago? When is the best time to bid for the most competitive pricing (i.e., when do they need the work the most)?

This issue’s report also features insight into current market pricing conditions in the markets it serves.
