See How Beck’s “Guitars and Pars” Event Supports Dell Children’s

The Beck Group in Austin, the integrated architecture and construction firm, hosted its annual philanthropy event, “Guitars and Pars” benefitting Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Through its longstanding relationship with Dell Children’s, Beck learned that the hospital’s music therapy program was in need of support. Beck’s solution was to create a unique event – far beyond the typical golf tournament – that raises money and increases awareness of the benefits of the unique music program. After five years, it has become Guitars and Pars.

Guitars & Pars is a two-day live music and golf event designed to reflect the mission of Dell Children’s Music Therapy program. It kicked off with a concert at the YETI Flagship store in downtown Austin, featuring Texas country musician Jason Boland. Day two of Guitars & Pars followed with a golf tournament and post-golf concert at Barton Creek Country Club.

As a result of its efforts, Beck raised over $195,000 to benefit Dell Children’s Music Therapy program. Ryan Therrell, director of business development in Austin, said, “This is all thanks to the generous support of sponsors, clients, and colleagues. We are a success because of all of our collective efforts.”
