Business Council for the Arts announces Rick del Monte chairman of board

Rick del Monte, The Beck Group’s chief design officer, was elected chairman of the Business Council for the Arts 2018 board of directors.
“We are thrilled to announce Rick del Monte as chairman of the Business Council for the Arts board of directors. Rick brings his expertise from the business community, passion for Dallas’ arts community and his longstanding support of BCA to his new position,” remarked Katherine Wagner, executive director, Business Council for the Arts.
“I’m honored to serve as chairman during the BCA’s thirtieth anniversary and look forward to working with Katherine Wagner and fellow board members to advocate on behalf of Dallas’ dynamic arts scene,” said Rick del Monte.
As Beck’s Chief Design Officer, Rick oversees the proper execution of designs, assuring continuity and the highest quality standards on projects. He’s been involved with many of the firm’s most notable work, including the Hunt Oil Company Headquarters, the award-winning Shake Shack restaurant for Crescent Real Estate Equities and Harim Group Headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.
In addition to his esteemed role with the Business Council for the Arts, Rick serves on the board of directors for the Design Build Institute of America. He is a noted speaker and writer on the value of integration and the changes taking place in the design industry. He was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2015.
