Beck Earns Spot in Architectural Records’ Top Firms of 2024

The Beck Group earned the number 89 spot in the Architectural Record 2024 Top 300 Architecture Firms list.

The Architectural Record list highlights influential and innovative architecture firms nationwide. It showcases firms that have demonstrated excellence in design, sustainability, and creating spaces that inspire and enhance communities.

Tec de Monterrey Campus in Mexico City

The Tec de Monterrey Campus is notable for setting a new standard for educational facilities in Latin America.

Beck designed the library and academic buildings as the vibrant heart of the campus. The trio features a glass-enveloped structure that fosters collaboration through innovative learning and multifunctional spaces. The campus design achieved a 32 percent increase in energy efficiency through sustainable design. One unique feature includes promoting natural ventilation with optimized systems for enhanced sustainability and resiliency.

Phipps Plaza Mixed-Use Redevelopment in Atlanta, Georgia

Amid shifting shopper spending patterns, Simon Property Group enlisted The Beck Group to reimagine Phipps Plaza Mall. The vision was to create a sophisticated mixed-use destination, integrating a Five-Star Nobu Hotel, Class A office tower, and an anchor building for Life Time Fitness.

Despite the site’s complexities, Beck’s design integrates the uses around a central outdoor event space elevated atop a new podium-style parking structure, bringing the transformation to life.

RiverSouth in Austin, Texas

RiverSouth is the first project in Austin’s transformative South Central Waterfront District. Beck designed and built the 350,000 SF Class AA office space. It features ground-level retail, multimodal connections, and a 5-level below-grade parking garage.

The project also features a sky terrace, a habitable green roof, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with stunning lake and downtown views. Celebrated as Austin’s ‘smartest’ building, RiverSouth integrates advanced automation systems that enhance comfort, health, and security.

In 2023, RiverSouth earned the prestigious DBIA National Award of Excellence for its cutting-edge sustainable design.
