The Beck Group Named 2023 NAIOP Georgia Associate Firm of the Year

The Georgia Chapter of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP) has named The Beck Group as the 2023 Associate Firm of the Year, marking the second time the firm has earned this prestigious award, with the first win in 2019. This recognition highlights companies that not only support the chapter’s initiatives but also demonstrate outstanding community involvement and industry leadership.
“We are truly honored to receive this recognition from our colleagues, partners, and friends at NAIOP,” said Ryan Woods, Associate Principal and one of Beck’s NAIOP liaisons. “This award is a wonderful way to close out the year, celebrating our dedication to the industry and our positive impact on the community.”
Contributions to the Commercial Real Estate Industry
The year 2023 marked significant growth for Beck, with the firm playing a critical role in shaping the commercial real estate landscape in Atlanta. Through innovative design-build projects and diversity initiatives, Beck has contributed to the city’s commercial and cultural development. Among the firm’s most notable projects are the transformation of Phipps Plaza, Nobu Hotel and Restaurant, and The Melody.
Since 2019, Beck has continued its Beck-Envision Partnership Program (BEPP), which reflects the firm’s commitment to empowering diverse companies. BEPP provides businesses with the tools to grow through capacity building, network expansion, and relationship development, enabling them to pursue opportunities with Beck and similarly scaled construction managers.
Community Involvement and NAIOP Engagement
The Beck team has made a significant impact on the Atlanta community, benefiting more than 20 organizations and nonprofits through volunteerism and pro bono efforts. Among those organizations are the Atlanta Center for Creative Inquiry, Habitat for Humanity, and the Center for Children & Young Adults.
Beck also actively promotes engagement within NAIOP Georgia, consistently supporting the organization as a proud sponsor. Associate Principal Ryan Woods is an active board member who leads various initiatives, including the summer internship program, a sporting clays tournament, and multiple fundraising efforts. His dedication to the community earned him one of NAIOP’s 2023 Developing Leaders Awards, recognizing his commitment to making a positive impact across Georgia.
