Beck Named One of Tampa’s Top Workplaces for 7th Year
- Apr 16, 2019
The Beck Group is one of Tampa Bay’s Top Workplaces 2019 by the Tampa Bay Times. This is the seventh year in a row that Beck earned a spot on the Top Workplaces list.
Beck’s employees were surveyed about several topics, including practices and policies that make these companies the top places to work.
“It is an honor to be recognized as a top workplace. We strive to provide our team with the best possible experiences, from career growth to leadership development, as well as benefits, diversity, and flexibility. This recognition is a culmination of those efforts,” said Holly Crowder, Chief Human Resource Officer at Beck.
The History of Top Workplaces in Tampa Bay
In the Tampa Bay region, more than 190 leading companies participated. To be considered for participation, companies or government entities had to employ at least 50 workers in Florida and be at least a year old.
The Top Workplaces 2019 in Tampa Bay program was created by the Tampa Bay Times and Energage. This is the section’s 10th anniversary. The companies were ranked based on leadership, compensation and training, workplace flexibility, and diversity.
“Over the past decade, we’ve recognized more than 300 Top Workplaces and shared stories from their employees about what makes them special,” said Times Business Editor Bill Varian. “This year’s list once again showcases a strong mix of returning leaders and newcomers, each with lessons to offer.”
Beck’s History of Building Community in Tampa Bay
Beck’s history in Florida dates back to 1961 when it built the very first launch facility, Launch Complex 34, for the new Saturn rocket series at Cape Canaveral.
For the last 30 years, the firm has been part of some of the first and most significant projects in the Tampa Bay area. Beck has touched every aspect of life in the region, from travelers passing through Tampa International Airport’s Airsides ‘C’ and ‘F’ to visitors exploring The Dali; from students living in one of our six University of Tampa residence halls to individuals heading to work at the USAA Southeast Regional office.
Beck is the architect and builder of the state-of-the-art University of South Florida Health’s Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS), Ulele, and Le Meridien Tampa. Currently, the team is designing and preparing to break ground at the University of South Florida at St. Petersburg’s new residence and dining hall.
