A Landmark Addition to Plano’s Hospitality Scene

In one of North Texas’ fastest-growing business districts, Kintetsu Group Holdings and The Beck Group have officially broken ground on the Miyako Hybrid Hotel Plano. The distinctive 13-story, 217-room property will bridge cultures and elevate the local skyline.

Developed by Kintetsu Enterprises Company of America, the four-star hotel will bring Japanese sophistication and premier service to Texas. Located within The Park at Legacy, it will feature a full-service restaurant, as well as banquet and conference facilities. The hotel will boast a rooftop bar with panoramic views and a multi-level parking structure. As a result, the project reinforces Plano’s reputation as a global destination for business, innovation, and hospitality.

Groundbreaking with leaders at the Miyako Hybrid Hotel Plano

The milestone event drew an audience of local officials, community partners, and business leaders. The large group gathered to welcome senior executives from Japan, who had traveled to North Texas for the celebration.

“We chose Plano as the site for our new hotel because the area has experienced remarkable development in recent years. It is home to many companies, including Toyota Motors North America, and the local community, including Plano, has welcomed us warmly,” said Mr. Takashi Wakai, president of Kintetsu Group Holdings.

A Partnership Built on Collaboration

Beck serves as Construction Manager with Cumming Group as Owner’s Representative. Gensler is the Design Architect, and Looney & Associates is the interior design firm. Together, the team is creating a destination that reflects Kintetsu’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and guest experience.

“The Miyako Hybrid Hotel Plano represents the kind of project we love, where partnership, culture, and craftsmanship come together,” said Matt Leyman, Dallas Regional Director at Beck. “It is an honor to help bring Kintetsu’s vision to life and contribute to North Texas’ growing reputation for world-class hospitality.”

Shaping Destinations Across the Country

Beck’s hospitality work spans from the Nobu Hotel Atlanta to Denver’s Populus Hotel. Every project is designed to enhance the guest experience and bring people together through thoughtful design and construction.
