Broward Health Lighthouse Point Emergency Department Tops Out

The new Lighthouse Point facility brings expanded emergency care and community investment to Northern Broward County
Construction has reached a key milestone on Broward Health’s new Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) in Lighthouse Point. Designed by HKS Architects and built by The Beck Group, the project celebrated its topping out in September. The milestone marks significant progress toward completion in Spring 2026.
Beck is providing construction management services for the 14,074-square-foot facility. The project is part of Broward Health’s initiative to expand its footprint and improve access to care throughout Broward County.
The two-story building will include 9,417 square feet dedicated to the emergency department and 4,757 square feet for medical office space.
In addition, patients will find 10 treatment rooms designed with efficiency and comfort in mind. The rooms will feature advanced medical technology, including a CT scanner that supports faster and more precise diagnostics.
Enhancing Care Through Collaboration
Once open, the facility will provide 24/7 emergency care, staffed by board-certified physicians and nurses. It will offer specialized adult treatment. This includes advanced diagnostic and radiology services, and seamless continuity of care across the Broward Health system, ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care close to home.

When complete, the Broward Health Lighthouse Point Emergency Department is expected to treat approximately 18,000 patients annually and create 30 full-time jobs. The project will also generate more than $15 million in local economic impact.
