Growing Our Design Practice in Fort Worth

  • Feb 1, 2019

The Beck Group, the integrated architecture and construction firm, recently spoke with FW Inc. magazine about our growing design practice in Fort Worth.

The interview with Beck leaders Scot Bennett and Hoyt Hammer highlight the firm’s recent architecture projects including 101 Nursery Lane for Fort Capital, which is also FW Inc.’s 2019 Dream Office.

“As we’ve really tried to push design out there, we’ve been slowly recruiting talent,” Hoyt Hammer, a Fort Worth office principal, says. About 25 percent of Fort Worth office projects are design-build, which allows the firm to manage clients’ expectations more easily. “I want to work with my own construction people,” Hammer says.

Beck established its office in Fort Worth fourteen years ago. Some of its major projects include Dickies Arena, Sundance Square, 777 Main, and Kimbell Museum of Art Piano Pavilion.
