Innovative Steel Use Delivers Arboretum Treetop Experience
- Jun 14, 2015
The engaging Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden is designed to invite young learners to learn through experience. One popular feature of the Beck-built garden is the 20–foot Texas skywalk.
Fashioned in the shape of a tendril, the exterior treetop walkway traverses the garden and ends at an elevator tower. The walkway allows children to see the world from a tree’s point of view, while also enjoying beautiful views of White Rock Lake. The walkway’s exposed steel provides opportunities to educate the garden’s users about its material and structural properties.
