On Friday The Beck Group celebrated the ribbon cutting and dedication of SB Hall, the new state-of-the-art home of the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at The University of Dallas.  The 46,000-square-foot building is the centerpiece of UD’s Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business, which grants Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science, Doctor of Business Administration and bachelor’s degrees.

Built by The Beck Group and designed by Perkins+Will, the three-story building is situated on the top of a hill on the northwest side of campus with views of Downtown Dallas and Las Colinas.

Inside, students and faculty can take advantage of 9 lecture rooms, a full production studio, a financial markets lab and dozens of study nooks, alcoves, lounges and gathering places. A main floor atrium which opens to the second level brings in natural light from the north, east and west through a full height glass curtain wall system. The space is designed to allow reconfiguration as the campus population and its needs change.

“We are proud to be able to deliver a building to The University of Dallas that brings the vision of Satish and Yasmin Gupta to life,” says Marc Robertson, Operations Manager, Construction, at Beck. “Their generous gift and vision shows that the school holds a special place in their heart. We are honored to play a part in turning their vision into a gift for the students who will walk through the doors at SB Hall every day to pursue their education and their opportunity for bright futures.”
