Fort Worth is a city that honors its roots while constantly evolving. Few leaders understand that balance better than Scot Bennett. As Regional Director of The Beck Group’s Fort Worth office, Scot has helped shape the city’s skyline, foster economic growth, and cultivate its talent pipeline. And he’s done it while preserving the character that makes Cowtown distinct.
That leadership has earned him a spot on the Dallas Business Journal’s 2025 Fort Worth Newsmaker list. This year’s list features 30 influential professionals who are helping guide the future of one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. A Portfolio of Impact
Scot has led Beck’s Fort Worth office since 2017. His work spans civic, healthcare, higher education, and commercial sectors. From the JPS Health Network expansion to the new TCU East Campus Housing and Dining complex, his leadership continues to shape how people live, heal, and gather across North Texas.
Beck’s Fort Worth portfolio also includes landmark destinations. These include the Piano Pavilion at the Kimbell Art Museum, Dickies Arena, and Sundance Square Plaza. Each project reflects both innovation and cultural pride.
Investing in People and Community
In addition to leading projects, Scot plays an active role in Fort Worth’s business and civic landscape. He is involved with the Fort Worth Chamber, Urban Land Institute, Downtown Fort Worth Inc., and The Real Estate Council.
He also helped launch the Beck School of Construction. This program mentors small and minority-owned businesses. In Fort Worth alone, it has graduated over 75 participants and resulted in more than $22 million in awarded contracts.
