Designed by The Beck Group, the ARK Innovation Center is a 45,000 SF tech incubator in St. Petersburg, Florida, built to foster collaboration and innovation. The space includes a 150-person event center, an innovation lab for prototyping, a mixed reality studio, two state-of-the-art classrooms, conference rooms, and coworking areas.
Glass-front offices are arranged in neighborhoods, creating a vibrant, connected ecosystem where entrepreneurs can engage and thrive. Open and semi-private office spaces further encourage interaction and idea-sharing. An elevated third-floor outdoor space serves as a venue for events and gatherings. The incubator strengthens local partnerships across Tampa Bay by integrating cutting-edge technology with a strong sense of community.
The building’s design embraces Florida’s landscape and climate. Its strategic glazing orientation maximizes views of the bay to the east, downtown to the north, and Booker Creek to the west, seamlessly connecting occupants with their surroundings. By minimizing its footprint and elevating the structure, the ARK Innovation Center reduces the need for extensive parking, creating additional greenspace for tenant use. This approach preserves the adjacent ecosystem along Booker Creek while providing a natural buffer for the neighboring historic community. Additionally, the design prioritizes flood resiliency, ensuring the center remains durable and adaptable to Florida’s challenging weather conditions.
