Crescent Real Estate’s McKinney & Olive is a one-of-a-kind structure designed by world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli and built by Beck. The development is Pelli’s first design in Dallas and the first commercial building in Dallas designed by an internationally acclaimed architect since the 1980s. The city-approved and neighborhood-supported height variance of 95 additional makes the 20-story McKinney & Olive the tallest building in Uptown proper. In addition to the unique, sculptural design of the building, McKinney & Olive features 10-foot ceilings, ultra-efficient floor plates, state-of-the-art security, destination elevators, an outdoor landscaped garden on the fifth floor, a fitness center designed by Canyon Ranch and a conference center. In an effort to serve both the customers and the community, 50,000 SF of McKinney & Olive is dedicated to ground-floor retail, including a Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse. Additionally, the development includes a generous 1-acre piazza designed by James Burnett, who was the landscape architect for Klyde Warren Park, The Ritz Carlton, and the recent exterior renovations to The Crescent. The 1-acre piazza features numerous mature shade trees and is available to both customers and the community, further supporting Dallas’ vision to increase parks and public spaces in urban areas.
