Steinbrenner High School, which helps to alleviate overcrowding at two other area high schools, accommodates approximately 2,100 students. Beck’s construction team modified the prototype school to fit the narrow site and increase the number of classrooms. The school includes two two-story classroom buildings, a two-story administration and media center building, auditorium, cafeteria, and gymnasium, all in a campus arrangement around a large central courtyard. The campus also includes a full athletic complex including a stadium, concessions building, ball fields and restroom facility. A commercial style culinary laboratory and a masonry animal shelter allows the school to offer special culinary arts and agricultural programming.
