Beck – Architect Beck – Construction

When creating a home for their private family office, the client wanted to express their Greek heritage and passion for surrealist artwork. Beck’s design and construction teams transformed a decaying warehouse into a canvas. Organized about a central courtyard, the simple building mass is accentuated by a jeweled contemplative space housing artwork specially commissioned for the space. The domed form of this art sanctuary pictured was influenced by the small Orthodox chapels that dot the client’s Mediterranean island home. Full-height glazing allows daylight to penetrate through perimeter executive offices, providing panoramic views of the courtyard for all staff.
