Tampa International Airport’s Airside F terminal, which opened in 1987, handles most of the airport’s international flights, including those to Cuba. The terminal upgrades are designed to enhance the ability of the terminal to manage up to three simultaneous wide-body international flights. As part of this complex design/build fast-tracked project, Beck’s construction team added two passport processing booths and two baggage claim devices to the Customs and Border Protection area, relocated and expand Transportation Security Administration screening to speed processing for international passengers, refurbished half of the restrooms on all levels of the main terminal, expanded the retail and concession spaces, as well as a number of other cosmetic improvements.
