Following completion of the TCU Barnes & Noble Bookstore and renovation of the College of Education, Beck’s construction team returned to the campus to provide full renovation services on five levels of the 214-bed Clark Hall dormitory. After completely gutting the building to its structure, Beck built a new east main entry for basement-level access, in addition to a new entrance and pedestrian plaza at the west entry. The exterior restoration also included power cleaning of all cast stone and brick, replacement of all window units and tuckpointing. Interior work featured installation of a new 4-stop elevator, new laundry areas, lounge areas, study areas, a common bathroom and shower, reception area and new Hall Director’s apartment. A new main lobby was put in place and dorm rooms that were previously all male were converted to co-ed and upgraded with data, telecom, and cable outlets, as well as fan coil units for air comfort.
