Brent is our National Director of Preconstruction, supporting and championing preconstruction at our Beck Dallas office. He advocates for and helps our teams to become efficient and effective by using innovative workflows and strategies.
Brent became intrigued with design-build during college. In his last year at Texas A&M University, he met former CEO Peter Beck and learned about his vision to integrate architecture and construction, which led him to join the firm.
He now has over 20 years of design-build experience and has cross-trained with our construction and architecture teams to know how preconstruction can successfully collaborate with those groups. He led the development of our historical cost platform and model-based estimating workflow and noted that “Beck is a unique place. From my first day to today, I am encouraged to exercise my creativity, explore my passions, and apply my work ethic to pursue meaningful work.”
Outside of Beck, Brent serves as the Estimating with BIM Taskforce Chair for BIMForum and is a member of the Professional Advisory Boards for the Construction Management Program at Colorado State University.
In his free time, Brent is a novice road cyclist, a recreational softball player, and a leader in his local church. He and his wife, Nicole, have been married for 23 years and have two daughters.
