Matt Pickens

Matt manages our construction operations in central Texas including Waco, College Station, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Focused on “taking care of our people and our clients, and making sure we address their needs,” Matt’s known for his successful leadership of complex assignments for clients in a variety of project types, including higher education, research, retail, and office buildings. As he explains, “Working on some of Beck’s most logistically challenging projects has made me a better builder, plus I’ve seen the different ideas our people have to offer.” Matt is known for his caring nature. In the Austin region, he is an active volunteer and a former board member with the Dripping Springs Education Foundation, as well as the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his son Gray and enjoying the great outdoors.
