Leading the (Net Zero) Revolution

  • Feb 10, 2015

The General Services Administration (GSA) is on the forefront of the movement to net zero buildings. Beck’s Wayne N. Aspinall Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse is cited by the Rocky Mountain Institute as an example of the GSA’s leadership and progress in the net zero realm. Beck was the architect of record and design builder for the project, which transformed a historic building into one of the most sustainable buildings in the United States. RMI noted that this effort was “a feat much more challenging than designing a new NZE building or retrofitting a non-historic building to meet NZE.” Read more about the Aspinall project, as well as the GSA’s efforts to push towards net zero, by clicking here.
