The Sid Richardson Building was originally built in the mid-1960s as a science building. A redesign by Beck allowed the building to be used for other purposes. Occupying the first floor and basement, the Paul L. Foster Success Center is home to several departments including career counseling, academic advisement and the office of accessibility and learning accommodation. The second and third floors are home to offices and classrooms for the math department. After reopening, the centrally located Sid Richardson Building quickly became one of the most popular study locations on campus.
