Baylor University’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing promotes the interaction of students and faculty in a high-tech, cutting edge, and collaborative environment. The renovated academic building features active learning classrooms, a learning resource center, student success center, administrative offices, and cafe. Located on Baylor Health Care System’s main campus in Dallas, the school of nursing is a satellite facility to Baylor’s Waco campus.

A “high tech/high touch” architectural influence is woven throughout the school. The new design includes an additional 100,000 SF for high-tech nursing education, almost doubling the building’s previous space. Faculty offices are divided into four “neighborhoods” across multiple floors to increase interaction and promote stronger relationships with students.
